Passion is Possession

Passion is Possession

In life we need both passion and a possessive drive. You can’t separate the two, they’re like twins at birth. Passion is something we tend to stray away from, because it’s that extremist in everyone that kind of bends us the wrong way. Passion walks the extra mile, it’s the added oomph, it’s the hands across America, it’s the never say die type of example.

Possession on the other hand is not the contrast yet it’s the added on link to make success a possibility. When I think of possession as I said in the chapter, I think of demonic or some philosophical ideology that has possessed that P brain of ours. The possession is not only 9/10 of the law, it’s also something we own whether we own it or not we touch and feel its existence.

So having the drive in both a passionate way and a very possessive manner will be the key to achieving massive global domination.

I know I am both in-bodied, so don’t let that bother you in the slightest. Someone has to leap while others just gawk.

How Far is Too Far

How Far is Too Far

Questions are made to be answered. Some are more far-fetched than most and this one ranks right up there in the higher echelons. So how far is too far for you? I know for myself I him a risk taker, I’ve put myself in some gazillion precarious positions where I couldn’t move or flex or wiggle out. It’s funny how I have run the gamut of options to see how thick my skin is or if I have super human qualities oozing from my pores.

So how far is too far for you? It might be getting up from that friggin cushy chair, or even mowing the backyard. For most it’s just finding a comfortable seat and watching a game, and how boring that may be.

There are three people I was thinking about when it comes to how far: Adolf Hitler, Evil Knievel and Steve Jobs, and all in the same breath. These three pushed the envelope, to the point of somewhat self-destruction. Adolf, you know the history, Knievel, you got his tricks, and Steve Jobs, we salute him like a God.

So when you hear the question, how far is too far you, might step back and ask one add on. And that’s to prequalify yourself beforehand, so you’ll know what far really means.

Exit Stage Door Left

Exit Stage Door Left

I think we all have some issue with big doors, big gates, big houses and anything that’s close to big. There seems to be fear or insecurity running in the streets as we star at those massive structures that are all so much bigger than ourselves. Yet in life there is a time to quit. And some do that better than others. Many call the shots while others get shot. It’s great to see some famous actress quietly fade from view, and nothing like a main stage athlete stealthily removing themselves from the limelight. It’s those fighters who tend to always die in the ring or in some hospital wing because they never say no to the absolute science aging, big boy. It’s not easy to deal with, when age gets the better of us. We hope that youthfulness hangs on for years but we’re dismayed when we notice a sea of wrinkles looming large on the facial horizons. Oh yes, we are mere mortals my friend, so let it be written, so let it be done!

If we could deduce our entire life into a numerical formula that would equal success then it’s found in three numbers, and they are one, six and then eight. In the book, when it sucks it blows, I talk about the various parts of Time management, using your watch, understanding how to waste your hours and feel good about yourself. There are things in life you can’t dismiss and one of them is the amount of time that is given to every human being on this planet. Some have hours, some have days, or some get centuries. This part of the equation doesn’t make sense and is completely removed from our ability to comprehend. And make sure there are no hard feelings or despondent mood swings because you are completely unable to ascertain the contents of why.

I mentioned money, knowledge and time as the three components that could lend to success in whatever endeavor you attempt. And I’m not referring to bungee jumping, hang gliding nor Dr. assisted suicide. Of these three time is the freebie. There’s no charge and it’s absolutely part of the bundle that’s given to all us wannabes. Most lack money and the greatest percentage completely avoid the pursuance of knowledge. So that means time is our only friend. And most of us probably only have one friend spelled TI ME.

So what you gonna do with all of those minutes or even seconds or how about hours? The time of dillydallying our way up the ladder is over. We have to stop the kitties parade that gets us nowhere. Enough of the flailing of arms and the body waiting language that says I’m not doing it this time or ever. Take what you got and see what you can do and if you fail one time or you fail 1000 times come on get back up and try it one more time for the Gipper.

What Was Then is not Now

What Was Then is not Now

I don’t know about you, but my past is the greatest instructor of all time. The trail behind my eons of years on this big red or blue planet is staggering to say the least. And in all those minutes I’ve made tragic choices that ended up in more than tragic results. I am the end result of poor strategies. There’s no one to blame but myself. Bring out the chopping block and remove the ugly mass above my shoulders.

And the funny thing is I constantly exist in the rear. The time back then seems to be more enjoyable than the present which ultimately affects my future. And why is that? What makes the great times 20 years ago so invigorating, so enlightening, or so juicy? It’s easy as I’m speaking now to sense I’ll never ever do most of what I’ve done, so why do I keep looking back. There’s a story in the Bible where God tells someone to not look back when they leave Sodom and Gomorrah. Well as this unfolds, that individual can’t control herself and casually looks over her shoulder and is turned to salt not sea salt. And if there’s a lesson learned from a story that seems somewhat unbelievable, it’s that it’s better to do what you can in the now and not attempt to coexist in both then and now.

I know that seems easy for me to state the obvious, and it’s also easy because I’m the author of this horrible autobiography if you will but that’s the very nature of what looking or living in the past will do to most.
In the future I will list some bullet points, or give you some a through Z reasons why you should not yet at this time I’m only referring to just don’t go backwards.
